Terms of service

Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 11, 2026

Welcome to Stride Sign Co. By accessing our website, placing an order, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.

By placing an order, you further acknowledge that Stride Sign Co. may begin performing custom design and administrative services after purchase and before physical manufacturing begins. These services constitute work performed specifically on your behalf.

1. Orders

All products sold by Stride Sign Co. are custom-made to order.

Customers are responsible for reviewing all order information before submitting an order, including but not limited to:

  • Uploaded artwork and logos
  • Design files
  • Text and spelling
  • Sign orientation
  • Size selection
  • Background color and other customization selections
  • Mounting options
  • Shipping address
  • Contact information

Stride Sign Co. is not responsible for errors contained in information, artwork, or files submitted by the customer or errors that appear in a customer-approved design proof.

Customers represent and warrant that they own, or have permission to use, any artwork, logo, trademark, photograph, design, or other intellectual property submitted to Stride Sign Co. for production.

1A. Custom Design Services

After an order is placed, Stride Sign Co. may begin providing custom services on the customer's behalf.

These services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Artwork review
  • Logo cleanup or adjustment
  • File conversion or preparation
  • Design proof creation
  • Artwork sizing and placement
  • Color preparation
  • Production file preparation
  • Administrative review
  • Customer communication
  • Project management

These services constitute work performed regardless of whether physical manufacturing has begun.

1B. Design Proof Approval & Abandoned Orders

Orders requiring a design proof will receive a proof prior to manufacturing.

Production will not begin until the customer approves the design proof.

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing their proof before approval, including the logo, artwork, colors, spelling, layout, orientation, and other design details.

Once a proof has been approved, Stride Sign Co. may begin production based on that approved design. Stride Sign Co. is not responsible for errors or design details that were visible in and approved by the customer.

Customers acknowledge and agree that:

  • They are responsible for monitoring the email address provided with their order.
  • They are responsible for checking spam, junk, promotions, filtered folders, and email forwarding rules.
  • Failure to receive or review an email because of customer email settings does not relieve the customer of these responsibilities.

Stride Sign Co. will make reasonable efforts to obtain proof approval.

If no response is received within 30 calendar days after the initial proof is sent, despite reasonable attempts to contact the customer, the order may be considered abandoned by the customer.

A customer's failure to respond does not constitute a failure by Stride Sign Co. to perform its obligations.

Because custom design, artwork preparation, administrative work, and other services may already have been performed, abandoned orders are not eligible for cancellation or refund except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Stride Sign Co. may, at its discretion, reopen an abandoned order if the customer contacts us after the 30-day period. Updated pricing, product availability, and production schedules may apply.

2. Cancellations

Cancellation requests should be submitted as soon as possible after an order is placed.

Orders may generally be canceled before custom work or production begins. Once custom work has begun, cancellation requests may be denied.

Custom work may include:

  • Artwork review or modification
  • Proof creation
  • Logo or file preparation
  • Design adjustments
  • Manufacturing preparation
  • Production

A customer's failure to respond to communications or proof requests is not considered a cancellation request.

Orders remain active until completed, canceled by Stride Sign Co., or deemed abandoned under these Terms.

3. Returns & Refunds

Because every Stride Sign Co. product is personalized and made specifically for each customer, all sales are final once custom work or production has begun.

Stride Sign Co. does not generally accept returns or provide refunds for custom products except where required by applicable law or otherwise approved by Stride Sign Co.

Refunds are generally not available for:

  • Customer-approved custom orders
  • Orders already in production
  • Completed custom design work
  • Abandoned orders
  • Customer-submitted errors
  • Errors or design details visible in an approved proof
  • Changes of mind after custom work has begun

If an order arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from the approved proof, customers must contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Please provide your order number and clear photographs of the product, packaging, and reported damage or defect so we can review the issue.

Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate resolution may include troubleshooting, repair instructions, replacement, or another remedy.

If a full refund is approved instead of a replacement, Stride Sign Co. may require the original sign to be returned before issuing the refund. Customers should retain the sign and its original packaging while a claim is being reviewed.

Unless otherwise agreed to by Stride Sign Co., customers are responsible for return shipping costs and prepaid return labels are not provided.

Please refer to our Refund Policy for additional information.

4. Production & Shipping

When a design proof is required, production begins only after proof approval.

Customers acknowledge that an order requiring approval cannot be manufactured and shipped until the required approval has been received.

Any production or delivery timeframe displayed on our website is an estimate and is not a guaranteed delivery date unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.

Production or shipping may be affected by circumstances including:

  • Carrier delays
  • Holidays
  • Severe weather
  • Supply chain interruptions
  • Equipment maintenance
  • High order volume
  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping information
  • Delayed customer approval
  • Other circumstances outside our reasonable control

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Customers should contact Stride Sign Co. promptly if a package is reported as delivered but cannot be located.

5. Installation & Product Use

Customers are responsible for determining whether their selected mounting method, hardware, adhesive, wall surface, and installation location are appropriate for their particular application.

Any installation instructions or recommendations provided by Stride Sign Co. are general guidance and may not account for every wall material, environmental condition, building requirement, or installation circumstance.

Customers are responsible for proper installation and should use a qualified professional when appropriate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stride Sign Co. is not responsible for damage to walls, property, the sign, or other items resulting from improper installation, unsuitable mounting materials, misuse, modification, or failure to follow applicable installation instructions.

6. Intellectual Property

Customers retain their rights in logos, artwork, trademarks, and other intellectual property they provide to Stride Sign Co.

Customers warrant that they own or possess all necessary rights and permissions to reproduce any materials they submit.

Stride Sign Co. retains its rights in its website content, photography, graphics, marketing materials, templates, production processes, and other original materials created by Stride Sign Co., except where otherwise agreed in writing.

Unless a customer requests otherwise, Stride Sign Co. may photograph, display, or use completed projects, product photographs, and mockups for legitimate promotional purposes, including:

  • Website galleries
  • Social media
  • Advertising
  • Email marketing
  • Portfolio materials
  • Other promotional materials

Use of a customer's finished sign for promotional purposes does not transfer ownership of the customer's underlying logo or trademark to Stride Sign Co.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stride Sign Co. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or special damages arising from the purchase, installation, use, or inability to use our products or services.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Stride Sign Co.'s aggregate liability relating to an affected order shall not exceed the amount actually paid to Stride Sign Co. for that order.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

8. Privacy

Customer information is collected and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you experience an issue with an order, we ask that you contact Stride Sign Co. before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute so we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the concern.

By placing an order, customers acknowledge that:

  • Custom design and administrative services may begin after purchase.
  • Physical manufacturing may intentionally be delayed while awaiting required proof approval.
  • An order requiring proof approval cannot be manufactured or shipped until approval is received.
  • Custom design and preparation work may constitute services performed on the customer's behalf even before physical manufacturing begins.
  • Failure to respond to proof approval requests does not constitute failure by Stride Sign Co. to perform.

Initiating a payment dispute does not alter the terms governing the underlying transaction.

Stride Sign Co. reserves the right to provide relevant documentation when responding to a payment dispute, which may include:

  • Order confirmations
  • Checkout and payment records
  • Applicable Terms and policies
  • Customer-submitted artwork
  • Design proofs
  • Customer communications
  • Reminder emails
  • Proof approval history
  • Project and production records
  • Shipping records
  • Tracking information
  • Delivery confirmation

When shipment has been delayed solely because required customer approval has not been provided, Stride Sign Co. may provide documentation demonstrating that the order was awaiting that approval.

10. Changes to These Terms

Stride Sign Co. reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service from time to time.

The version of these Terms applicable to an order will generally be the version in effect when that order was placed, subject to applicable law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising from your purchase or use of our services will be governed by the laws applicable to Stride Sign Co., without limiting any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
